It is a symbol of your new life as a Christian. “We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into in order that, just as Christ was raised from the through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” Romans 6:4 Baptism does not make you a believer; it shows that you already are one. Baptism does not save you; only your faith in Christ does that. Baptism is like a wedding ring. It’s the outward symbol of the commitment you made in your heart. Baptism is an outward sign of an inward work. HOW ARE WE BAPTIZED? 1. We follow the example Jesus set for us when John baptized Him. Matthew 3:13-17

3. The word baptize literally means to dip under water. The Greek word “baptizo” means to immerse or dip under water. WHO SHOULD BE BAPTIZED? Every believer who has accepted Jesus Christ as his or her personal savior should be baptized. Those who believed and accepted his message were baptized. Col. 2:12 WHAT ABOUT CHILDREN? If the parent can testify to the child’s acceptance of Jesus Christ as his or her personal Savior, he or she may be baptized. The child will be asked to verbally give testimony to one of the pastors. SHOULD WE BE BAPTIZED TWICE? Many people were baptized prior to accepting Christ as Savior. If you have become a believer (born again) since your first baptism, we encourage you to be baptized.
