Black Rock is committed to serving the needy in our community. We partner with 11 different organizations that serve a variety of ministry needs in the surrounding community, providing them with funding and sending work teams to assist them. The Bowery Mission The Bowery Mission, located in New York City, is one of the country's oldest rescue missions. The Bowery Mission provides meals, shelter, showers, and clothing to desperate people living on the street, and also offers several residence programs to help men and women make a permanent change in their lives.
Bridgeport Rescue Mission The Bridgeport Rescue Mission in Bridgeport, CT, provides free meals and shelter to homeless people, and a residence program called New Life that helps clients eliminate their dependency on and alcohol and start new, productive lives.
His Mansion Christian Growth Center His Mansion Christian Growth Center in Bridgeport, CT is a ministry of His Mansion in New Hampshire. It offers a one-year residence program for graduates of His Mansion and other hurting individuals that includes schooling or holding a steady job, and attending a local church.
Hopeline Pregnancy Resource Center Hopeline Pregnancy Resource Center is a Christian ministry that provides support services for women who are pregnant and want to consider alternatives to abortion. Hopeline also goes to area public schools with an abstinence program called "Your Choice".
Horizons Horizons is a state-run 30-day and alcohol rehabilitation center in Bridgeport, CT that has allowed Black Rock to teach a Bible Study for clients and distribute Bibles to anyone who is interested.
The Nehemiah Commission The Nehemiah Commission provides spiritual direction and guidance to troubled children in the Bridgeport Area. They conduct weekly Bible Studies at the Bridgeport Youth Detention center and have a program for public school children to receive religious instruction for an hour a week.
Pivot Ministries Pivot is a Christian and alcohol rehabilitation program for men. They maintain two residence facilities in Norwalk, CT and Bridgeport, CT where men can live in the program and receive counseling, participate in recreational activities, and attend Bible classes.
Re-Entry Ministries Re-Entry is a Christian and alcohol rehabilitation program for women. They have a 12- to 18-month residency program for women, where they meet regularly with counselors, study the Bible, and learn a trade.
Royal Family Kids' Camp Royal Family Kids' Camp is a summer camp ministry for abused and neglected children. The camp provides children the chance to experience the love of Christ through a surrogate "family" of volunteers, and to enjoy time to just be kids.
Young Life Young Life is a national organization with a ministry to high school and middle school youth. The local branch ministers to children in the greater Bridgeport area through weekly clubs, summer camps, and more.
YoungLives YoungLives is a special outreach of Young Life that ministers to pregnant s and teen mothers to help them develop positive parenting and life skills, and showing them the unconditional love of Christ.
