MARRIAGE MINISTRY 

The mission of the Marriage Ministry is threefold:

To prepare engaged couples for the rigors and challenges of a lifelong commitment to a Christ centered marriage.
To strengthen, encourage and support existing marriages to reflect God’s intention for marriage through all life stages.
To help restore marriages that have been struggling or broken.

We care about marriages at BRCC. We are dedicated to meeting the needs of every marriage at Black Rock and to develop “oneness” that God gave us as the foundation for marriage in Genesis 2. STEP FAMILY MINISTRY 
Our great God is a God of second chances! BRCC recognizes that the Lord often brings two families together after tragedy to form a new step family. Through step families God gives people a wonderful opportunity to develop healthy, happy and Christ-centered families. But we also know that this road can be a bumpy one, marked by challenges and hard times for both children and parents as they slowly become the family God desires. 

With this in mind, the Marriage Team is happy to announce the formation of a new Step Family Ministry. This ministry is in its early stages. Our vision is to reach out to step families through the development of life studies classes, life groups, seminars, and library resources all geared towards strengthening, encouraging and supporting step families. We are excited about doing everything we can as a community to help step families reach their potential as they become testimonies of God’s amazing grace and mercy. 

Blending Families Ministry is happy to announce a new 8 week class starting on Sunday March 21st at 11:30am. We will be covering Ron Deal's "The Smart Step-Family (An 8-session Guide to a Healthy
Stepfamily" . This 8 week class provides realistic solutions to the issues that stepfamilies face.

Perfect for the remarried or soon to be remarried couples in order to:

• Recognize the unique personality and place of each family member
• Solve the everyday puzzles of stepparenting and stepchildren relationships
• Learn communication skills to deal with ex-spouses
• Honor families of origin while developing new traditions
• Invest the time to grow their stepfamily slowly rather than look for instant results

MARRIAGE MENTORING
All marriages need encouragement! Couple-to-couple mentoring is available for anyone desiring to take their marriage to a higher level. Healthy, but not perfect, couples are trained, equipped, and available to offer support as Marriage Mentors.
