At Sanctuary we have felt called to help support the needs in the country of Rwanda. Through trips and correspondence with World Relief Rwanda we have been able to see the need first hand and come to understand how much we can do to help. 

Sanctuary has committed to raise $30,000 towards two specific endeavors through World Relief:

1. Roofs for Rwanda: In 2008, an earthquake hit the Nyamasheke District in Rwanda. Many families continue to live in inadequate housing. To empower the local church, Sanctuary has agreed to pay for the new roofs, doors and windows of homes for those identified by the church as the most needy. 
2. The Rwanda Orphan Project: There are over 1.3 million orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs) in Rwanda. Sanctuary funds World Relief's comprehensive OVC initiative in the Nyamasheke District. They provide food, school fees, social counseling and spiritiual guidance for the 20-30 OVCs. If you would like to donate, there are three ways you can do so:

                 -Drop it in the offering box specifying “Rwanda”
                 -Drop it in the Rwanda display out in the foyer
