| Community groups
Welcome to Community groups! An extension of Fusion, Community groups are made up of students who are committed to Christ and want to learn more about Him and His plan for their lives. Community group is a time for you to spend time in fellowship with other believers to become better equipped in sharing your faith with others. Groups meet every week with your leader and the other students in the group for 1 hour during Fusion. Community groups correspond to two main parts of Fusion’s philosophy which is “To REACH the crowd, CONNECT the community, EQUIP the committed, and MULITPY the core.” Community groups are a great way for you to connect with each other. You will build deep friendships and take these relationships to unbelievable heights because you meet with the same students week after week. The second area is equipping students. Community groups will take you to new levels in your relationship with God and you will be transformed by your study of God’s Word and the accountability you form within your group. Being a part of Community groups is a huge commitment. It means putting aside other commitments to make this a priority. Your Community Small Group will only go as far as you are willing to take it. You have the responsibility of raising the bar of your Christian walk and being accountable to your Christian brothers and sisters for your actions. Here are the expectations of Community groups:
These expectations should be taken very seriously and we are going to holding very tightly to them. community group is a time for growth and maturity and it should be treated as such. The goals for Community groups are two-fold:
As you can imagine students who are not already in a Community group will be at Fusion. Your mission is to reach out to those students who are not already connected in a Community Small Group, invite them in, and make them feel welcome. Students not in a Community group will join a discussion group every Tuesday night. If you have any questions regarding Community groups feel free to give Jeremy a call at 203-255-3401.Ext. 127 |
