2008 ANNUAL MISSIONS CONFERENCE

This year we celebrated our 51st Annual Missions Conference, "Opening the Door to Europe," April 26-May 4. Submit an Online Faith Promise Commitment.

SCHEDULE
On April 26 and 27, Dr. Ted Noble, who served as President of Greater Europe Mission from 1992-August 2007, addressed the needs and issues of Western Europe.

The following weekend, May 3 and 4, Dr. Kuzmic, focused on Eastern Europe.  Dr. Kuzmic, a native of Slovenia and a citizen of Croatia, is considered the foremost evangelical scholar in Eastern Europe and an internationally recognized authority on the subject of Christian response to Marxism, as well as Christian ministry in post-Communist contexts.

The week's events kicked off with a Women's Brunch, "Rekindling the Light and the Hope," on Saturday, April 26, at 10:30 a.m.  Malinda Brown, the featured speaker, and her husband Alan have served with ACSI for 10 years equipping and encouraging teachers and principals of Christian schools throughout Eastern Europe.

On Wednesday evening, April 30, at 5:45, we enjoyed a multi-cultural dining and café experience.

Wednesday evening's program feature Alan and Malinda Brown and Don and Barbara Borgman. Alan and Malinda shared about their ministry in Eastern Europe and Don and Barbara reported on the successful completion, publication, and distribution of the Sanuma translation of the New Testament.  It was an evening of celebration! We also took a few moments to honor Dr. David and Deidre Topazian and present them with a plaque in gratitude for the many years of faithful service with MedSend.

At the Men's Breakfast, on Saturday morning, May 3, at 8:30 a.m. the men enjoyed a veritable feast.  A highlight was hearing from Jon Brown about his and Valerie's ministry in the Brazilian jungles and from Pastor Steve Treash about his visit to the Browns last winter.

Through the course of the week, we were encouraged to hear what God is doing in Europe.  Additionally, it's alwaysa great opportunity, to get to know and encourage our guest missionaries. We had the privilege of hosting missionaries from Niger, Hungary, Germany, Brazil, England, Mexico and the U.S.

The 2009 conference is scheduled for April 25-May 3.
